How we work with stallions
From licensing to sport.
A young stallion needs a rider who brings calm and thinks ahead. Marten and our stable rider Romy Schaftenaar ride and train stallions for their owners, with a plan for every stage.
Since January 2026 Marten has ridden the approved stallion Secret USB. Romy is training Red Label, who has been selected by the KWPN for the performance test. The whole team is used to stallions, in the stable and in the breeding season.
We ride and train
Marten and Romy develop the stallion under saddle and prepare him for licensings and shows.
The station handles breeding
Each stallion is offered through his stallion station. That is where you order semen and find the stud fee and terms.

KWPN Stallion Competition qualifiers with Wendy Kuiken.
January 2026
Marten Luiten took over the ride from Wendy Kuiken. Alvaro Rodriguez Siscar had also ridden him before.
28–31 January 2026 · ’s-Hertogenbosch
First public presentation with Marten, in a show block at the KWPN Stallion Show in the Brabanthallen. The station called it a fantastic debut.

Licensing preparation
A calm build-up to the licensing and the saddle presentation: fitness, balance and a stallion who stays relaxed in front of the judges.
Performance test
A training plan towards the performance test, so your stallion arrives fit and confident.
Young horse classes and Pavo Cup
Bringing him on through young horse classes, the KWPN Stallion Competition and the Pavo Cup.
Into competition
From first shows to the Small Tour and beyond, with a rider who won the 2026 European U25 freestyle title.
The cost depends on your stallion’s age and plans. You will get a proposal tailored to him.

Where can I order semen from Secret USB?
From Hengstenstation Van Uytert in Heerewaarden, not from us. The station will also give you the current stud fee and terms. Red Label stands at Riekus & Ilonka Veninga’s station in Stuifzand, which can tell you whether and when he is available for breeding. We ride and train the stallions.
Can I see a stallion ridden?
Yes, by appointment. Send Marten a message on WhatsApp or through the form and we will arrange when and where you can see the stallion.
Is frozen semen from Secret USB available?
Hengstenstation Van Uytert lists only fresh semen for Secret USB. Ask the station about the current options, for example if your mare is abroad.
Can my stallion come to you for training?
Yes. We prepare stallions for licensing, the performance test, young horse classes and sport. Tell us about his age, pedigree and plans through the form or WhatsApp, and we will make you a proposal.
