Lessons on your own horse with European medallist Marten Luiten, in our indoor or outdoor arena in Baars. We hold regular clinic days at the yard, and clubs and groups can book a clinic too.
Private lessons in Baars
Lessons built around your horse.
You ride your own horse, in our 20 × 40 indoor arena or the 20 × 60 outdoor arena. Marten looks at you and your horse as a partnership: your seat, your aids, how your schooling is structured. You go home with a few clear things to work on.
Marten won European U25 freestyle gold in 2026 and trains horses at home from first saddle to Grand Prix. He knows how a horse develops step by step, and that shows in his teaching.

Clinic days at the yard
A day of riding, watching and learning.
We regularly hold clinic days in Baars. You ride in a small group, get feedback tailored to you and your horse, and learn at least as much from watching the others.
What a clinic day looks like
Small groups
You ride with only a few others at a time, so Marten has time for every horse and rider.
Tailored feedback
No set programme: you work on what your horse needs that day, at your level.
Watching the others
Before and after your own session you watch the other riders. Seeing the same advice work on another horse is what makes it stick.
Breaks in the lounge
The lounge overlooks the 20 × 60 outdoor arena. Take a seat without missing a thing.

Do you ride with a club or a regular group? Marten can come to you. You take care of the arena and the timetable; Marten makes it a day that riders and spectators both learn from.
Would you rather come to Baars? Groups can also request their own clinic day at our yard.

Collection, tempi changes, the first pirouette work. This is where systematic schooling pays off: more carrying power without your horse losing suppleness.

Do I need my own horse?
Yes. You ride your own horse in lessons and clinics. That way you work on what the two of you need, and take what you learn straight home with you.
What level do I need to ride at?
Any level. Marten teaches from the basics and first tests up to Small Tour and beyond. For a clinic we ask your level when you sign up, so the groups are well matched.
How do I book a lesson or clinic?

What if I need to cancel?
Let us know as early as you can and we will find a new time together. We agree the cancellation terms when you book.
Can I come and watch a clinic?
Yes, even if you are not riding. Just let us know you are coming. Watching is a good way to see Marten at work before you ride with him yourself.
